Account Executive - Brand Communications

The Role
Are you ready to take your career in public relations to the next level? We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Account Executive to join our team and play a vital role in supporting one of our most important accounts. In this role, you'll drive big results for leading global brands in the Consumer-Packaged Goods sector, leveraging your passion for consumer and brand news, creativity, strategic thinking, and exceptional attention to detail, as well as your strong written and oral communication skills. You will deepen your understanding of the client's business and goals, driving their success while advancing your own professional growth.
What You Will Be Doing

Account Support and Client Relations
- Manage account administration tasks, such as creating call agendas, recaps, and activity reports, while maintaining and updating project timelines to ensure deliverables remain on track and require minimal edits from supervisors.
- Synthesize research to develop first drafts of client materials, such as key message documents, press releases, social content, Q&A documents, pitch letters, and media lists, while proofreading and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and polish.
- Create influencer marketing materials, including drafting influencer briefs, managing contracts, and working directly with influencer and senior account counsel to review content and edit content so it ensures alignment with campaign goals and brand guidelines.
- Actively engage in internal and client meetings, and effectively summarize key outcomes to drive actionable next steps.
- Proactively anticipate team and client needs and flag potential risks.
- Support and staff client events as needed.
- Work within assigned financial budgets.
- Support new business initiatives through research and creative brainstorming contributions.
Influencer & Media Relations
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the evolving media and influencer landscape, leveraging tools such as Talkwalker, Cision, Stat Social, and Sprout to identify trends and opportunities that align with client objectives.
- Conducts research and builds relationships with influencers, influencer agencies, and media outlets to support campaign planning and execution.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and manage the creation of gifted mailers and the influencer seeding process, ensuring all activities are executed to secure earned social coverage. Activities include, but are not limited to, sourcing mailer elements, assembling dozens of mailers, total logistics management, handling and managing product boxes, coordinating with building facilities and courier vendor partners.
- Craft compelling pitches, develop and update targeted media lists, and secure measurable results through successful story placements.
- Monitor cultural and media trends to provide actionable insights and identify authentic opportunities for client engagement.
- Prepare comprehensive client reports, including KPI metrics, executive summaries, and influencer marketing activity overviews.
About You
- 1-3 years of experience in a communications role, with a focus on working with consumer brands, including both paid and earned influencer marketing. Experience in an agency environment and supporting in-person media and influencer events is a plus.
- Passion for delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail, excellent task management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while bringing creative and unique approaches to problem-solving.

- Demonstrates professionalism through punctuality, reliability, and proactive engagement while maintaining self-motivation in pursuing personal and professional growth. Toronto-based, with flexibility to provide on-site client support and travel within Canada as needed.
- French-speaking abilities are considered an asset.
