This is an opportunity for young professionals who are looking to gain experience in integrated communications working alongside our world class communications professionals. During this 6-month paid internship experience you will be working with our Innovation Engine support our Chief Innovation Officer and Head of Strategic Services and Foresight.
This is a part-time position, and you will work three days a week from our New York office.
What you will do
- Conduct desk research to identify emerging topics, trends, and innovations relevant to the organization.
- Provide administrative support, including planning logistics for IGNITE Talks and organizing internal workshops.
- Perform data analysis and maintain records using spreadsheets, including innovation scoring and survey data management.
- Research and curate examples of “Communication Innovation,” entering findings into a structured database.
- Draft and send outreach emails to subject matter experts, futurists, innovators, and vendors to foster external engagement.
- Meet with vendors for product demonstrations, evaluating and comparing new tools to support innovation initiatives.
- Compose and schedule engaging social media posts to promote organizational activities and thought leadership.
- Assist in coordinating bi-weekly Innovation Engine (IE) leadership meetings, as well as employee meet-and-greet events.
- Maintain and update the global Innovation Engine organization chart using PowerPoint.
- Utilize OmniAI and other AI research tools to support innovation research and discovery.
The skills that will contribute to your success
- You are currently enrolled as a graduate student at an accredited college or university.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong social media skills, with experience using LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Excellent desk research and online information-gathering skills.
- Strong writing abilities and effective verbal communication skills, including professional virtual meeting presence and presentation skills.
- High degree of cultural awareness and ability to track trends in media and popular culture.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- You are self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful approach to work.
- Ability to report to our NYC office 3 days each week.
- Interest in and enthusiasm for emerging technologies; willingness to explore and adopt new digital tools.
