Collections Manager
Summary
The Collections Manager plays a critical role in driving cash flow and supporting revenue assurance at PosiGen. This position is responsible for overseeing daily collection activities, including work performed by a third-party vendor, while ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
More than just managing collections, this leader will be a change agent, focused on identifying process inefficiencies, eliminating waste, and challenging the status quo. This person will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to automate workflows and continuously improve how we manage accounts receivable.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise day-to-day collections activities performed by both internal team members and a third-party vendor.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the point of escalation for complex or sensitive customer accounts.
- Evaluate current collections workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, and external vendors to implement more efficient, tech-enabled solutions.
- Eliminate manual processes and reduce operational waste by leveraging tools and data.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs for collections performance (e.g., DSO, recovery rate, aging buckets).
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development support to collections team members.
- Conduct regular audits and root cause analyses to improve recovery outcomes and reduce delinquency.
- Partner with Customer Care, Field Services, Operations, and Sales to resolve disputes and maintain customer satisfaction
- Provide actionable reporting and insights to leadership on collection trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in collections, A/R, or revenue cycle management, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience working with or managing third-party vendors.
- Strong understanding of collections regulations and customer service best practices.
- Passion for continuous improvement, with proven success implementing automation or process changes.
- Proficient with collections systems and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, NetSuite, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in the solar, utility, or energy sectors preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

- Occasionally, the role may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.

Base Salary
$70,000 - $95,000 USD
