We are looking for a skilled Foreman to lead a team of solar installation technicians. You will ensure efficient and high-quality solar system installations, maintain safety standards, and manage project operations. Responsibilities include overseeing installations in compliance with codes, managing inventory, maintaining a clean worksite, and coordinating with the Live Review Specialist (LRS) for job completion. Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills are essential for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise and lead a team of solar installation technicians, ensuring efficiency and high-quality workmanship.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer communication.
  • Install solar systems in compliance with NEC and building codes, using layouts, line diagrams, and engineering reports.
  • Measure, cut, and install structural reinforcements as needed.
  • Securely mount racking and electrical equipment, following industry best practices.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of installation equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized worksite throughout each project.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and OSHA requirements; complete OSHA training as needed.
  • Participate in company meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions as required.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the LRS (Live Review Specialist) to confirm job completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 3+ years of roofing experience (required).
  • Prior experience with residential and/or commercial solar installations (preferred).
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Skilled in training, mentoring, and managing team members.
  • Previous leadership experience (preferred), especially managing a site.
  • Knowledge of roofing and understanding of the electrical side of solar (preferred leadership experience).
  • Proficient in using technology, such as Sitetracker, apps, etc.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheets.
  • Must be flexible based on customer availability.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of three years of driving history, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation. 
  • Willing to complete the pre-employment screening process.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures).
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, as well as within confined spaces such as attics.
  • While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly be required to speak and hear. The role frequently requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50-70 pounds.
  • The employee will occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.

Base Salary

$34 - $40 USD
