The Opportunity
Postman’s Customer Education team seeks a versatile engineer with an interest in customer education to help scale our self-serve and instructor-led learning programs hosted on Postman Academy. Unlike a typical engineer role, this role requires you to work independently on a diverse set of smaller projects, create proof of concepts, and quickly iterate on them to deliver mature solutions. Our ideal candidate has a software development and education background and is interested in designing, delivering and owning self-contained customer-facing solutions while collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including trainers, content developers and platform engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement frontend changes to LMS & learning tools to maintain proper branding & innovative front end experience
- Integrate LMS with internal and third-party services and systems to enable the team to deliver impactful learning experiences and hands-on exercises
- Work on an integrated team with content specialists, trainers, customer success members, and operational project team members to design and develop self-contained training solutions supporting classroom and online learning environments
- Work with the team to establish and manage internal development processes and pipelines
- Act as an advisor and subject matter expert on APIs during new learning content development
About You
- 3-5 years minimum experience in software development
- Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience working with Node.js, GitHub RDBMSs and system integration
- Experience with Postman and AWS (EC2, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda) is a plus
- Experience with EdTech is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoy coordinating with other engineering teams to deliver solutions
- Highly organized, with proven ability to work autonomously and deliver projects on time
This role is based remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $180,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
