Job Description
As a Senior Product Manager specializing in offer optimization, you will spearhead the development of sophisticated tools that enable our merchants to maximize revenue through personalized, data-driven offers. Your core focus will be on the strategy, development, and optimization of features encompassing cash back offers, discounts, and various customer rewards across all Postscript acquisition touchpoints. You will be instrumental in delivering impactful products leveraging AI and customer data to precisely tailor offers, significantly driving both customer acquisition and retention.
This position is fully remote, and Postscript has been a fully remote company since day 1. Though there is a strong preference for candidates located in ET / CT time zones.
Primary skills & experiences
This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for building products that help our merchants make more money through subscriber acquisition and offer tools. At a minimum, this Senior Product Manager scope includes end-to-end ownership of Cash Back (Fondue) product line and offer optimization strategies across all Postscript surfaces.
Helpful skills:
- Technical degree in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of the intersection of e-commerce, pricing and offer strategy, fintech, and martech (AI expertise is a significant advantage).
- Experience in business intelligence, financial modeling, opportunity sizing, and/or forecasting.
- Possesses MBA or a General Manager background
Helpful experiences:
- Experience in product operations or technical program management.
- Execution experience with high-scale, multi-channel messaging platforms.
- Experience with platform expansion (e.g., new primary platform integrations beyond Shopify).
- Direct experience within the e-commerce, martech, and fintech sectors.
- Experience scaling and expanding existing product lines.
- Prior experience as a startup founder/cofounder
- Familiarity and experience within the Shopify ecosystem.
Primary duties
- Own and articulate the product vision and strategic roadmap for offer optimization and the Cash Back (Fondue) product line, ensuring strong alignment with company objectives and the evolving needs of our merchants, while actively integrating AI-driven insights and sophisticated data models.
- Lead the design and implementation of innovative offer optimization features that empower merchants to deliver highly personalized offers based on nuanced customer behavior, thereby maximizing conversion rates and fostering enduring customer loyalty.
- Drive product development across all offer optimization surfaces, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to deliver impactful features while ensuring timely execution and measurable results.
- Define and rigorously track key business line success metrics for offers products, analyzing performance across the entire customer lifecycle to inform data-driven decisions for continuous optimization and refinement of our offerings.
- Forge strong partnerships with engineering, data science, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver scalable and personalized offer solutions that seamlessly integrate with Postscript’s rapid growth and the expanding needs of our merchant base.
- Cultivate deep expertise in diverse offer structures, gaining a thorough understanding of how various offer types (e.g., cash back, discounts, free shipping, bundles) influence customer behavior and the resulting ROI for our merchants.
- Champion innovation in offer strategies, proactively identifying opportunities to strategically leverage AI and machine learning technologies to significantly enhance offer effectiveness and personalization across all Postscript properties.
Desired skills & experiences
- 7+ years of progressive Product Management experience; Founder or Co-Founder experience within a B2B or B2B2C SaaS company is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience with offer optimization strategies within e-commerce, marketing technology, or fintech industries.
- Foundation in AI-driven product development, particularly with practical applications of machine learning for customer behavior analysis and segmentation.
- A technical background or degree in a relevant discipline, coupled with a solid grasp of product management best practices and methodologies.
- Proven track record of successful execution in high-scale, multi-channel messaging platforms, with a strong understanding of personalized marketing principles.
- Significant experience within the Shopify ecosystem or similar leading e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
