A day in the life:

The Paid Advertising Strategist is responsible for owning the execution, performance, and growth of campaigns within their book of business. They are oriented towards the clients’ business success, tying their efforts to the greater business goals. They are self-starters and autonomously own their responsibilities. The Strategist works hand-in-hand with account leadership to ideate and evolve the strategy of their service within the broader media mix. They are responsible for owning reporting, optimizations, client communication, and execution of keyword research, ad copy development, bid optimizations, and routine campaign management, sometimes with the support of a Specialist. The Strategist is excellent at providing insights and forward-thinking strategy to clients on an ongoing basis and has a strong understanding of their service’s strategy and the levers to pull to drive performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership and execution of performance marketing via paid social & paid media native platforms
    • Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Youtube Ads, Bing Ads
    • Effectively executing builds and production A-Z with redundancy across channels and 100% on time delivery 
    • Lead execution of optimizations with regard to performance improvements relative to goals
    • Manage all client budgets and/or advise on budget changes based on your expertise with accurate budget pacing 
    • Sufficient QA that results in no errors that would yield a negative impact to revenue for clients
    • Lead proactive strategy recommendations across assigned channels, surfacing opportunities and risks ahead of client requests.
    • Maintain client testing roadmaps and project manage next steps, ensuring a consistent, ongoing cadence of experimentation.
    • Escalate performance risks early, distinguishing normal fluctuation from genuine account risk requiring intervention.
  • Effectively own strategic communication internally for client teams
    • Proactive internal communication with team on performance, strategy, recommendations, deliverables, and action items; facilitating tactical needs with Specialists where applicable
    • Weekly client progress recaps, outlining performance insights and future recommendations
    • Consistent upkeep of client testing roadmaps and project management of next steps 
  • Excellent marketing and business strategy acumen
    • Complete understanding of the marketing funnel and how to execute via paid social and paid media
    • Full knowledge of the Power Circuit, adapting to the latest product processes 
    • Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your role
    • Ability to navigate roadblocks and adapt strategy to changes in landscape to achieve desired results
  • Ownership of performance reporting and strategy communication
  • Ability to leverage data to tell a story and articulate results to clients and key stakeholders with clear next steps
  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes

Role Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of digital marketing experience; 1-2 years in an agency setting
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with at least 2+ of the following paid advertising channels 
  • Google/Bing, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and other applicable paid advertising networks 
  • Specifically having experience with campaign development and optimization processes such as bid optimization, keyword research, ad copy development, campaign strategy, and optimizations 
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite(s)
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing 
  • Other skills required:

    • Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Confident with client-facing presentations and communication
    • Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly and independently
