A day in the life:

The Group Director is a leader within Power Digital’s vertical divisions. In this role, you are responsible for retaining and growing your client portfolio and leading, motivating and inspiring your team. You will cultivate senior-level relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering growth opportunities within the CPG division. You'll collaborate closely with the Power Digital marketing and sales teams to drive new business and service expansion across your portfolio as well as provide thought leadership and Division insights. You will partner with the Managing Director and VP to define the Division’s go to market strategy and positioning, and create product solutions for Power Circuit. As a leader in the organization, your influence expands outside of Client Experience to the wider organization. You foster a positive work environment and culture of growth mindset within Power Digital. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management: Directly manages Account Directors within the division and oversees the pod of Account Managers assigned to the Account Directors. Leads by example and fosters a positive work environment centered around Power Digital’s core values and instilling a growth mindset, providing value not only to clients through strategic insight, but also to internal team members through mentorship, resources and personal development. Demonstrates impartial leadership and gives equitable support and opportunities across all team members. Ensures that all team members receive clear direction, regular goal alignment, and proactive support to be successful in their role. Serve as the coach within account teams and the division by practicing radical candor and delivering timely, actionable feedback to team members to up-level their performance and propel their career development. Lead team training initiatives, including developing and delivering training on new processes, tools, and strategies to enhance team activation output and client results.
  • Client Management & Retention: Develop and nurture executive-level relationships within your client portfolio to support client retention. Hold regular client check-ins to gauge sentiment, solicit feedback, and identify opportunities for growth. Maintain accurate retention forecast for client portfolio. Client Growth & Expansion: Actively identify and present new strategic opportunities to drive growth and expansion within the client portfolio in partnership with the Managing Director. Responsible for hitting the division's monthly service expansion quota.New Business: Participate in new business pitches and RFPs to provide valuable industry insights and expertise. Collaborate with the revenue team to constantly improve and iterate division’s go to market strategy, sales collateral and improve win rate.
  • Product Development & Product Quality: Create industry specific solutions to fuel the Power Circuit. Lead division trends and innovation in partnership with the R&D team. Enhance and iterate on existing reporting templates and strategic deliverables that align with the division trends.
  • Client Escalations: Owns the resolution of any client challenges within your direct client portfolio. Accurately diagnoses the problem and identifies the right resources to solve the challenge in a timely manner to retain the client. Installs solutions to root causes of escalations.
  • Business Leadership: Consulted on the P&L for the division and is accountable for the profitability of clients within the portfolio. Forecasts the four pillars of the division (Churn, SE, NB, efficiency) in partnership with the MD and VP. Leverages P&L to support business cases for hiring. Oversee key business initiatives such as recruitment, staffing, training and onboarding. Drive efficiency through technology, AI, and process improvements.
  • Nova Innovation: Responsible for identifying opportunities to strengthen nova application and utilization within the respective division. Collaborate with the nova team on enhancements and optimizations to the existing roadmap to better service our clients.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Intelligence, Media Planning, and other shared Activation teams to enhance strategic roadmaps and improve the execution of client campaigns
  • Thought Leadership: Stay in the know on key industry trends and innovations and glean vertical insights from client data. Participate in both internal and external industry engagements, such as conferences, speaking opportunities, blog content and trainings

Role Requirements:

  • Department leadership and management experience required
  • 10+ years as a leader in a digital marketing agency
  • Experience managing a P&L for profitable growth
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, client retention, and client growth
  • Proven track record of delivering high customer satisfaction scores through NPS or similar retention metrics
  • Extensive knowledge of owned, earned and paid marketing channels as well as first-party data tools such as Google Analytics, Shopify, etc. 
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and develop relationships with executive-level points of contact
  • Experience managing large teams, coaching direct reports and driving talent development across the organization
