A day in the life:
The Programmatic Ad Ops Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution and performance of programmatic within their book of business, working hand in hand with the lead Strategist on their accounts. The Programmatic Ad Ops Specialist is an attentive learner, eager to problem-solve and hungry to grow their technical, strategic, and analytical skills. They have great communication skills and collaborate well with their lead Strategists. They are known for their reliability and attention to detail, resulting in high quality work delivered on time. They are actively involved in supporting trafficking, reporting, optimizations, and execution of programmatic deliverables. They are self-starters when it comes to their responsibilities and manage their workflow efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Strong understanding and ability to execute ad operations, including ad serving, programmatic buying, dynamic creative, & measurement/attribution.
- Comfortable creating campaigns within ad servers and DSPs based on approved plan and specs.
- Provide support to the team in handling department operations, such as pixel creation, Q/A, optimization implementation, A/B test set ups, pacing and reporting setup, billing/invoice tracking + pacing, and deliverable tracking.
- Execute rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) protocols to ensure zero errors that could negatively impact client revenue.
- Maintain precise budget pacing and strict adherence to planned spend across all programmatic accounts.
- Ensure full adoption and 100% completion of the Power Circuit internal delivery framework.
- Manage the monthly upkeep and logistical support of the Testing Roadmap for structured account experimentation.
Strategic Collaboration:
- Work closely with traders and strategists to execute programmatic strategies effectively.
- Assist and collaborate with team to ensure and resolve delivery and implementation of tags, and troubleshooting of any issues.
Campaign Development and Management:
- Assist in the creation and onboarding of new programmatic accounts and campaigns within ad servers and DSPs.
Data Integration:
- Collaborate with the marketing and analytics teams to integrate reporting APIs and ingest daily campaign data.
Performance Monitoring:
- Actively monitor campaign Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through reporting tools.
Insights and Analysis:
- Regularly deliver campaign insights and analysis to the lead strategist on a weekly basis.
- Supporting strategists with aggregating reporting and data.
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes.
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department.
Role Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in an ad operations role at an ad tech company, agency, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience using ad tech tools and platforms, including ad servers (CM360), DSPs (Trade Desk, Adelphic, DV360), ad verification tools, and ad trafficking systems.
- Understanding of campaigns across various programmatic channels, including mobile, display, video, OTT, CTV, DOOH, and audio.
- General knowledge in data analysis and the ability to set up reports, interpret campaign performance metrics, optimize campaigns, and recommend data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in the use of technology and workflow tools like Google Docs, Google Sheets, and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
- Strong attention to detail in setting up, monitoring, and managing programmatic campaigns.
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Client Book Revenue per Employee (including VABO): $35k.
- Client Retention (bi-annual): 90%.
- Range of the number of accounts (6-8).
- Achieve client spend thresholds and meet or exceed industry performance benchmarks by at least 95%.
- 100% completion on client deliverables.
Most Important Things (MITs)
- Ad operations, production, and completion of tasks on time based on deadlines set by the team/client.
- Understanding the client’s business model and desired outcomes in order to align with the strategy of the account.
- Paid Advertising account performance and health of the account.
- Client retention, sentiment, and growth.
- Guarantee that all programmatic deliverables and campaign launches are executed on time according to established deadlines.
