A day in the life:

As the Senior Marketing Operations Strategist, you provide comprehensive marketing operations support for our larger and more complex B2B and B2C Lead-Generation clients. You are responsible for managing the tools and processes that enable lead capture, nurture, and flow through the revenue funnel. This includes building the foundation for marketing operations success as well as optimizing and maintaining marketing operations excellence on an ongoing basis. You will also perform high-level sales operations tasks, including but not necessarily limited to building intermediate automations and dashboards for revenue teams, and building and advising on standard CRM-use processes for the sales team. You fully understand all standard system processes needed to produce factual and reliable reports.

You will also provide senior support to other Marketing Operations Strategists on accounts, and be someone that team members can turn to with ad hoc strategy or troubleshooting assistance.

You know how to act fast to solve problems and think of long-term processes and solutions. You know how to capitalize on our standard deliverables, or on the flip side, know how to pivot if a specific solution doesn't make sense for a client at that point in time. You have mastered presenting creative reporting to clients and team members through storytelling, and are constantly implementing learnings to enhance future processes and strategies.

 Responsibilities:

  • Setting the foundation for Marketing Operations excellence
    • Manage and perform Marketing Automation Platform/CRM setups (primarily Hubspot) 
    • Manage and perform migrations to new Marketing Automation Platforms/CRMs (primarily Hubspot)
    • Clean up existing Marketing Automation Platforms/CRMs and continue to ensure they operate cleanly and efficiently
      • Typical clean-up tasks include deduplication (via Insycle), field standardization, asset organization, contact purges, sync error resolutions, sync setting updates, compliance program setup, and custom field consolidation
    • Set up any custom objects or custom behavioral events
    • Ensure any platform integration syncs are accurate and clean and set up new integrations that have a native integration with the MAP
    • Strategize sales and marketing alignment automation within the Marketing Automation Platform/CRM
    • Lead program strategy and implementation including target audience builds (ie. ICP criteria and decision-maker makeup), list segmentation, lifecycle funnel automation, workflow development, and scoring model creation
  • Optimizing and expanding existing Marketing Ops setups
    • Build dashboards within the CRM for revenue teams that contain important metrics and KPIs for each leader
    • Lead qualification automation optimizations
    • Campaign creation & SOPs
    • System troubleshooting & additional customizations
    • Additional custom reports & dashboards
  • High-level sales operations processes and functions within the CRM
    • KPI field setup & tracking (ex. Lead status date stamps, speed to lead tracking, etc.)
    • Sales performance & activity reports
    • Operational and day-to-day SOP creation for CRM utilization and clean data entry
  • Support internal growth of the Marketing Ops Department
    • Audit systems of prospective/existing clients
    • Actively identify opportunities to improve products/services beyond their accounts 
    • Mentors team members and holds strategy sessions on accounts they support with 
    • Reviews and provides feedback to junior team members on reports & deliverables 
    • Assist with developing our product offering, identify opportunities to improve the department, and actively share insights with the team
    • Document all processes and conduct trainings for client and/or sales team members

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in marketing operations or related role
  • Expert in Hubspot and proficient in Pardot (any other MAP and CRM platforms are a plus!)
  • High proficiency in Salesforce with the ability to perform intermediate functions including but not limited to:
    • Report and dashboard-builds
    • Campaign setup and reporting
    • Field setup and mapping
    • Record customization
    • Intermediate to advanced automation builds
  • Experience with various sales and marketing systems and tools (ie. ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, Insycle, 6Sense, etc.) and an understanding of how they interact and integrate with a Marketing Automation Platform and/or CRM
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues within the marketing technology stack (including the CRM)
  • Experience building out complex processes and automations 
  • Ability to be client-facing and discuss complex strategies and recommendations with the client 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You know how to structure complex issues and take a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving. 
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators): 

  • Leads 6 - 8 clients (more of our complex clients)
  • RPE goal of $25k/month
  • 90% client retention rate

MITs (Most Important Things):

  • Manage accounts with the highest workflow volume or complexity with positive feedback 
  • Lead trainings and plays an active role in team member development and support within the department 
  • Collaborating closely with team members across internal departments and roles
