Xcel / Rec Gymnastics Coach
Job Description
Estrella Gymnastics is looking for an experienced Rec and Xcel coach who loves working with kids. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching gymnastics for recreational and competitive Xcel team students with the ability to coach Bronze/Silver/Gold teams.
Pay will be starting at $20+/hr based on availability and experience.
Xcel Team Hours Needed:
- Tuesday from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
- Friday from 5:30 PM - 8:00PM
Class Hours
- Monday 3:30PM-7:30PM
- Tuesday 2:30PM-7:30PM
- Wednesday 1:30PM-7:30PM
- Thursday 2:30PM-7:30PM
- Friday 2:30PM-7:30PM
- Saturday 9:00AM-2:00PM
Additional hours are available on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons for special events such as birthday parties.
Your Role
You will be coaching! Your job will revolve around helping kids develop work ethic, listening skills, confidence, and body control. You'll be:
- Leading students through warm-up and conditioning
- Spotting children as they learn how to do new skills
- Sharing in students’ excitement as they nail a skill for the first time
- Keeping parents up to date on their children's progress
- Learning new techniques, skills, spotting methods, and progressions all the time
- Having fun!

Your Experience
This job requires previous experience coaching gymnastics for recreational and competitive Xcel team students. We are looking for a coach to be able to coach Bronze/Silver/Gold teams with a minimum of one year experience.
Fine Print
A few requirements to note:
- Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away.
- Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym.
- Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes.
- Ability to spot a gymnast, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds.
- Ability to move equipment including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to maintain a consistent evening schedule. The kids need their coach to be in the gym!
