Position: Tax Manager

At PP&Co, we’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager who brings both technical excellence and a passion for guiding clients toward financial success in both domestic and international taxation. Responsibilities: 

  • You will work directly with clients, manage tax engagement teams, and work with other technical specialists to advise clients on a variety of complex issues. 
  • Use your experience in accounting and taxation to provide planning, research, consulting, and compliance services to clients in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing accurate recommendations and identifying tax risk management issues with thoughtful solutions.
  • Managing all aspects of technical planning, research, consulting, and compliance.
  • Mentor and develop junior associate’s by providing performance feedback and guidance to help them develop their technical and industry skills.
  • Responsible for participating in the in-house CPE classes developed internally and provided by the Firm.
  • Assist in researching technical issues, writing technical memorandums, preparing analyses, and participating in IRS audits on behalf of clients.
  • Responsible for managing clients, which includes writing proposals, engagement letters, budgeting, staffing, and billing.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and departmental process improvements.
  • Participating in our formal mentorship program. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA License Preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting
  • Advanced technical skills in tax compliance and planning
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience managing tax engagement and supervising staff
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000-$160,000. This range includes the anticipated low and high end the salary range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
