Clinical Systems Training Specialist, Praxis Health
Praxis Health is looking for a Clinical Systems Training Specialist who builds and delivers the education clinic staff and providers need to work effectively in Praxis Health’s clinical systems, with an initial focus on the Oracle Health EHR implementation. The role covers both halves of that work: designing training content and materials and delivering it directly to end users.
The role works closely with the Clinical Systems Manager and coordinates with Directors of Operations, RLCMs, and Regional Clinic Provider Leads to schedule training and address workflow readiness.
Location & Schedule
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: Flexible hybrid schedule based on events, meetings, and other business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design training curriculum and materials for clinical systems, including the Oracle Health EHR, tailored to different clinic roles (providers, front desk, clinical staff).
- Deliver live training sessions, both in person and virtual, for clinic staff and providers.
- Develop and maintain quick reference guides, job aids, and other supporting training materials.
- Support go-live and cutover activities for the Oracle Health EHR implementation, including at-the-elbow support during go-live periods.
- Identify training gaps by working with clinic staff, providers, and the Clinical Systems Specialists on recurring issues that point to a training need rather than a system issue.
- Develop and deliver training on new technology and system updates as they roll out, working with the Clinical Systems Specialists to translate technical changes into end-user education.
- Design and adapt training for AI-enabled clinic tools, including ambient documentation and AI scribes, as adoption changes clinical workflows and how staff document.
- Coordinate training scheduling with Directors of Operations and RLCMs to minimize disruption to clinic operations.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from training sessions to improve future sessions and materials.
- Champion innovative approaches to training and education, using new tools and methods to make learning clinical systems more effective for staff and providers.
- Partner with Clinical Revenue Cycle, Population Health, Consumer Experience, and other departments to provide continuing education to end users as appropriate.
What You Bring
- Comfortable both designing training content and delivering it live to a range of audiences, from providers to front desk staff.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to adapt teaching style to different roles and comfort levels with technology.
- Organized and able to manage a training schedule across multiple clinics and regions.
- Comfortable identifying training gaps by distinguishing recurring issues that point to a training need from those that point to a system issue.
- Champions innovative approaches to training and education, using new tools and methods to make learning clinical systems more effective for staff and providers.
- Comfortable gathering and incorporating feedback from training sessions to improve future sessions and materials.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in training or education, ideally in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Experience training clinical or healthcare staff on an EHR or other clinical system.
- Demonstrated ability to design training curriculum and materials tailored to different roles, not only deliver existing content.
- Experience developing and maintaining supporting training materials such as quick reference guides and job aids.
- Ability to coordinate training scheduling with operational stakeholders across multiple sites or regions.
- Experience building or establishing a training program from the ground up that has proven durable through subsequent system or organizational changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cerner or Oracle Health.
- Exposure to AI tools in a healthcare setting; experience training staff on AI scribes or ambient documentation a plus.
