Essential Job Functions (Include but are not limited to):

The Vice President of Business Development (Southeast & Midwest) is a critical business development role within Precision for Medicine, Manufacturing Solutions Group. In this position, the incumbent will create new and further existing client relationships that will result in exponential growth for the Company. This role is instrumental in building our sales pipeline through uncovering potential leads, nurturing those leads and closing qualified opportunities. This will include building strong relationships with individuals at all levels within an organization.

  • Represent Precision for Medicine, Manufacturing Solutions as Vice President of Business Development for the Southeast & Midwest Region.
  • As part of the lead generation team with a focus on the Southeast & Midwest Region, own and lead all activities from client prospecting to lead generation to lead nurturing to Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Lead identification of new client prospects using the Ideal Client Profile (ICP). Creation and execution of plan to turn prospects into client leads.
  • Originate and lead attaining new client targets with high growth potential.
  • Attend regional, national conferences and networking events to generate leads and to further relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives to develop Project Farma brand into the leading biotech consulting firm in the Southeast & Midwest Region (i.e. actively participating in local regional marketing and industry events and organizations).
  • Maintain all sales data within customer relationship management (CRM) Execute proper and timely sales reporting using CRM.
  • Mentor, train, and coach the business development team and other team members in sales and business development.
  • Travel as needed to fulfill strategy and business development goals.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • S. or M.S. in Life Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline and/or comparable military experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of advanced therapy, life science, pharmaceutical, or biotech experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of managing a high-performing team
  • A minimum of 5 years business development, lead generation, or sales experience

Other Required:

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to the employee's start date with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable.
  • Travel potential up to 50% (mostly within the Southeast & Midwest Region).
  • Reside in Raleigh, North Carolina area.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 10 years consulting and/or business development experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
  • Exceptional organizational, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and CRM (Salesforce) tools.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend the English language.

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

Reasonable estimate of the current range

$160,000 - $220,000 USD
