The Associate Account Executive is responsible for supporting the Client Services team on a daily basis and serving as client liaison as needed. Helps ensure projects are completed on time, on strategy, and on budget by coordinating communication and activities between Client Services management and other agency departments. 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Client Relationship  
    • May serve as a point of contact to clients when other Client Services staff are out of the office
    • Escalate difficult or sensitive conversations to more senior Client Services staff or agency leadership  
    • Apply understanding of client’s line of business (e.g. target customers, products) in discussions with client and internal team
    • May run status calls and other select calls/meetings 
  • Agency Advocate 
    • Follow agency process and coordinate activities and timing to ensure quality work
    • Contribute to internal knowledge management by overseeing some shared resources (e.g. repository of journals, ads, and media kits for use by Client Services teams)
    • Seek opportunities to share client case studies or “lessons learned” internally (e.g. at Client Services management department meetings) 
  • Team Management 
    • Foster positive working relations between Client Services team and other agency departments
    • Prepare the team for internal and client meetings and presentations –  
    • Create agendas and compile leave behind materials
    • Ensure preparation of all supporting documentation necessary to each meeting (schedules, content, notes, competitive materials, etc.)
    • Take comprehensive notes and disseminate both internally and externally, within 24 hours
    • Contribute to pitch preparation when called upon (e.g. locating ads, coordinating with team, etc.)
    • Provide administrative support as needed 
  • Tactical Management 
    • Demonstrate sound judgement and operate with an appropriate sense of urgency
    • Develop and maintain account status reports and collaborate with project managers on creation and maintenance of project timelines
    • Contribute to project briefs (background, job specs, dates)
    • Participate in double-reads and thoroughly review all materials for accuracy and completion prior to client delivery, presentation, or final production
    • Submit requests for direct cost estimates
    • Maintain organized job files of project materials
    • Manage submission of files for client regulatory reviews 
  • Financial Management 
    • Collaborate on development of scopes of work including estimating agency fees
    • Collaborate on management of project budgets, obtaining internal budget approvals, and allocating/monitoring hours to team members
    • Assist with managing client’s budget tracker
    • Help move work effectively through the agency  
    • Identify and bring management’s attention to bottlenecks or other issues that may jeopardize profitability by project 
  • Strategic Consultation 
    • Help team develop in-depth expertise in client’s business and markets by keeping them informed of changes in:  
      • objectives and initiatives including target patient/professional audiences
      • key milestones (clinical trial initiation, completion of FDA panel review, NDA submission, launch, etc.)
      • competitive landscape, clinical background, key client performance metrics (sales goals, scripts, etc.) 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field of study
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proven experience working on simultaneous projects, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, problem solving and working well under pressure
  • Relevant Internship and/or minimum of one year practical work experience in advertising, marketing or medical/healthcare communications agency including responsibility in one or more of the following roles; Traffic, Project Management, or Account Management role
  • Demonstrated execution of project management tasks such as; developing timelines, project briefs, monitoring budgets and process tracking to include coordinating projects across multiple departments

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

Reasonable estimate of the current range

$44,500 - $54,500 USD
