We are hiring a Group Account Supervisor responsible for managing and growing a book of business and for management of associated account team(s). You will set team direction ensuring the team has necessary resources and facilitate individual team member’s growth.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
Strategic Consultation
- Provide solid insights to strategic development process
- Has or develop a deep familiarity with the client’s market, including disease state, treating clinicians and influencers and their corresponding professional societies, competitive companies and technologies, and current and future state of treatment
Client Relationship
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships at multiple agency-of-record accounts (director level and above)
- Touch base with senior-level clients regularly to ferret out any opportunities or issues early
- Communicate comfortably and productively (e.g. phone call) with any level of client at any time regardless of daily interactions
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships at agency-of-record account(s)
- Expand contacts within client/prospect organizations that will strengthen agency relationship(s)
- Create atmosphere where issues regarding pricing, performance, and team can be constructively discussed
Agency Advocate
Remove ambiguity and guides conversations to secure needed agency clarity
- Support the agency’s point of view at the highest levels of the client organization
Financial Management
- Oversee the development and maintenance of financial documents (scopes, forecasts, reconciliations, reports, etc)
- Provide ongoing guidance to staff for pricing, revisions, and forecasting
- Report early and often on any changes to the financial picture
- Ensure that issues regarding clients/jobs are identified as early as possible and provide a rationale and guidance on next steps
- Problem-solve across the agency to address inefficiencies and communications gaps that impact profitability
- Identify and develop opportunities for organic growth and productivity
Tactical Management
- Review jobs supporting new strategies
- Work in lockstep with project managers and effectively troubleshoot issues that arise
Team Management
- Demonstrate mastery of more junior account responsibilities and can provide training and oversight on all as needed
- Supervise account team members, communicating clear goals and providing timely feedback
- Evaluate performance and skill level of account personnel
- Identify unmet training needs and training opportunities
- Monitor and balance scheduling and overall workload for the team
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7 years of agency experience
- May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
Preferred:
- Pharma/healthcare agency experience
