POSITION:
We are looking for an experienced product manager with strong technical aptitude who can help us achieve our product vision by establishing and implementing platform capabilities to support the evolution of the product. In this role, you will partner with every product team at the Predictive Index to understand what enables successful use of the product by users, administrators, and the network of consultants who support them.
Problem solving at the platform level is rich in complexity and offers rewards for those who are energized by tackling difficult challenges that often require solving for short-term needs while making progress on long-term strategies. You will focus on key areas: implementation and adoption, access and permissions, data accuracy and hygiene, metering product use, interoperability between products, and more.
At the Predictive Index, Product Managers have ownership over a primary area of functionality as well as the opportunity to “flex” into other domains outside their ownership, collaborating with other PMs and leaders across our business on a regular basis to support business priorities.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Transform ideas and user feedback into new features and enhancements, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Product Managers, and Designers along the way.
- Support the software development process through clear prioritization, managing the backlog, attending scrum meetings, and standing in as the representative of our clients during product development.
- Continuously involve cross-functional stakeholders in your plans, collecting feedback on upcoming features, providing product previews, and supporting the release management process.
- Collaborate closely with the technical team to ensure the technical feasibility of features and understand dependencies of product requirements.
- Dive into the data. Understand product usage analytics and use this knowledge to further develop/refine your roadmap.
- Collaborate with other product teams, ensuring a holistic product experience. Identify opportunities to accelerate their goals and explore ideas to encourage adoption, administration, and cross-selling.
- Communicate the platform vision and value across technical and non-technical stakeholders—bringing clarity to complex problems and trade-offs.
- Prioritize work based on business needs and inputs from many stakeholders, while being flexible to iterate/change.
- Act as a product expert, answering questions and unblocking other team members.
- Coordinate testing requirements for new features and work with developers to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies, proactively sharing insights to shape and evolve product strategy.
Should you apply? If you’ve got all the skills, drop what you’re doing right now! If you’ve got some of these skills, we still want to hear about them!
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of product management experience, ideally working on platform within a B2B SaaS environment (HR tech or multi-product a plus)
- Strong communicator with excellent storytelling, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment skills; able to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Technically fluent—comfortable discussing architecture, trade-offs, and technical constraints with engineering teams
- Business-minded and data-driven, with the ability to tie technical decisions to business impact and solve problems with a flexible, analytical approach
- Proven ability to translate high-level company strategy into a cohesive product vision, actionable requirements, and a roadmap that aligns with broader business objectives.
- Experienced in Agile development processes, with a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Collaborative self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a passion for delivering great user experiences
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to new information, and turning uncertainty into clear, executable plans.
You will excel in this role if you:
- Have a clear aptitude for the strategic implications of tactical implementation decisions and vice versa
- Show up with a strong sense of ownership and accountability that extends beyond one’s own responsibilities, both effectively and respectfully
- Demonstrate grit and persistence in achieving long-term goals despite obstacles, maintaining focus and resilience under pressure.
- Navigate complexity quickly and masterfully. Learn our systems and our industry quickly.
- Collaborate and influence well. At PI we work as a team. Bring your ideas to the table, and connect with cross-functional colleagues to socialize your recommendations.
- Are energetic. We have a vibrant group. Jumping in, having great team cohesion, and showing leadership is all key.
- Have experience working with products sold through and serviced by a partner network is an added benefit
