POSITION: 

Software Engineer II –Position located in Westwood, MA. Remote work benefit available from anywhere in the United States.

We’re looking for energetic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial software engineers, with a proven track record of developing in the public cloud. You will take a leading role in design, code, quality, and release planning for new features within your scrum team, and run a full suite of automated tests as you help enhance and evolve the platform powering Talent Optimization. 

We are implementing new features in a service-oriented architecture. We have ambitious goals and encourage engineers to think boldly with colleagues, as well as partners on the Product team. We work in a fast-moving environment and provide the autonomy to innovate in your areas of expertise.

 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Design and implementation of software features for a web-based application that allows client companies to survey, evaluate and report on the skills of present and future employees (Primary technologies include .NET backend and API layer with Angular and Node.js frontend, hosted in Azure Cloud)
  • Develop application software, databases, and APIs in Azure
  • Participation in refinement for sprints where stories that describe the work to be done are evaluated in terms of their complexity and detail. 
  • Work on stories, implement, test, and ensure that they meet the required quality standards and are delivered to production on time. 
  • Prioritize and fix defects in the Predictive Index software, determined by the team lead and product manager. Implement fixes to defects and add tests to ensure that the fix is validated in an automated manner going forward. 
  • Review the software that is developed and written by different team members, and help ensure the quality and standards are met. 
  • Support development, launch, and rollout of new features to over 10,000 clients
  • Partner closely with Product and other teams to anticipate user needs

  • Strong track record in Computer Science and/or developing full-stack application software (3-5 years of experience)
  • At least three years of experience with front-end development skills in at least one of the following areas: JavaScript, Angular, React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML. 
  • At least  three years of experience with back-end development skills in at least one of the following areas: C#, Java, C++, SQL, Python, PHP.
  • Experience with some or all of the following:

    • Cloud-hosted applications in Azure and AWS

    • Agile development processes

    • Continuous Integration and deployment with automated testing

    • Database design using relational, document, and graph databases

    • Architectural design for highly scalable applications

  • Entrepreneurial spirit – we expect all our engineers to provide leadership at every level and to push to improve every day
  • Openness to exploring and adopting new technologies, including AI and AI-assisted development, with curiosity about how they can enhance engineering practices and business outcomes
  • Professional maturity and resilience – demonstrated ability to navigate organizational changes (with a solutions-oriented, collaborative approach
  • A team-first mindset, with the ability to remain constructive under pressure and contribute positively to team culture and outcomes

 

PI is headquartered in our amazing Westwood, MA office, but we are also geo-flexible / remote-friendly for candidates with the right fit for our team and organization. 

This is an exempt, salaried position. The salary range for the role is $115,000 - $160,000

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and our generous benefits package (including unlimited PTO!)
