IN-HOUSE BUSINESS TRAVEL CONSULTANT

Louisville

IN-HOUSE BUSINESS TRAVEL CONSULTANT

We’re looking for an organized, resourceful Business Travel Consultant to help keep our team moving. In this role, you’ll coordinate business travel from start to finish – creating customized itineraries, managing reservations, navigating last-minute changes, and helping ensure every trip runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. If you’re someone who loves travel logistics, catches the details others miss, and stays calm when a flight gets canceled at the worst possible time, we’d love to hear from you. Pay is in the $52K to $55K range with competitive benefits.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Receive, organize, and prioritize travel requests from team members
  • Create customized travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, and corporate events
  • Book travel in accordance with company travel policies, preferred vendor agreements, and established spending guidelines
  • Build and maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, and other travel partners
  • Negotiate rates and help secure corporate discounts, preferred pricing, and additional traveler benefits
  • Quickly troubleshoot travel disruptions, including cancellations, schedule changes, and rebooking needs
  • Provide responsive, professional support to internal travelers throughout the travel process
  • Maintain accurate travel details while managing multiple overlapping itineraries and deadlines

EXPERIENCE

  • 2–4 years of experience in corporate travel coordination, travel services, or hospitality
  • Experience using a Global Distribution System (GDS), such as Sabre
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple itineraries and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed when plans change unexpectedly
  • Current knowledge of travel trends, requirements, and safety protocols
  • Certified Travel Associate (CTA) certification preferred, but not required

If you’re a proactive, highly organized, cost-conscious, and service-oriented who enjoys solving logistical puzzles and understand that great business travel support is about more than simply booking a flight. If you anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and find solutions when plans change, you could be the right fit for this role. You’ll work closely with team members across the organization and will need to balance excellent customer service with company policies, budgets, and business needs. Ready to put your travel expertise and problem-solving skills to work?
