Duties and Responsibilities

As a Test Technician, you will:

  • Power up and test equipment safely (500V+)
  • Perform hi-pot and oscilloscope testing as needed
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during power-up
  • Conduct point-to-point ohm checks with a Fluke meter
  • Inspect and verify mechanical assemblies and project materials
  • Confirm materials used match bills of materials (BOMs) and drawings
  • Support customer factory acceptance testing (FAT) and related documentation
  • Update drawings to reflect changes and archive project information
  • Photograph and upload completed projects to the server
  • Assist in manufacturing processes when needed
  • Work with a mentor to ensure adherence to best practices and procedures

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who bring:

Required

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology (or related field) or equivalent experience in control panel construction plus high school diploma
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing and operating equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in an electrical testing environment
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Preferred

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with computer software for documenting/analyzing test results
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning
