Duties and Responsibilities for an Electrical Project Engineer:
- Lead design, testing, and commissioning of robotic automation systems
- Collaborate with customers to finalize system design and controls
- Manage BOMs and related electrical documentation
- Design and review PLC hardware layouts and electrical drawings
- Program PLC systems, focusing on Rockwell Automation platforms
- Conduct Factory and Site Acceptance Testing for system validation
- Manage multiple small-to-medium projects, ensuring quality and budget control
- Provide technical advice on power, control, and wiring systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support customer needs
- Drive improvements in system design based on feedback and lessons learned
Experience and Qualifications for an Electrical Project Engineer:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, focused on automation and controls
- 3+ years in control system design and programming in industrial/robotic settings
- Skilled in developing integrated control systems for robotic cells
- Proficient in Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Experience with Fanuc robot programming and robotic integration
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in high-pressure environments
- Hands-on, self-motivated, with clear technical communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring effective collaboration with internal teams and clients
- Willing to travel up to 15% locally for client support
