JOB SUMMARY
The Associate General Support Assistant provides basic administrative support to team or department in accordance with standard procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate General Support Assistant job description is intended to point out major responsibilities within the role, but it is not limited to these items.

Gathers, compiles and verifies information and performs data entry.

Performs calculations, compiles and maintains records, posts and verifies information, and resolves questions and problems.

Resolves discrepancies and may communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.

Provides administrative and clerical support to team or department, including filing, faxing, retrieving documents, inventory control, and scanning/imaging documents.

Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree or higher in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.

One (1) or more years of experience in a healthcare administrative role.

Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software.
-
Certification in medical coding, billing, or healthcare administration is a plus.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Understanding of healthcare terminology, billing practices, and insurance processes.
