Job Overview
Pretium Enterprise Services (PES) is seeking a Director, Operational Excellence to join our team in the private equity sector. The Director, Operational Excellence will be responsible for leading and driving operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance. This will be done through developing and implementing strategies to optimize processes, improve quality, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the ecosystem. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and deliver impactful results.
The preferred locations for this opportunity are Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; or Jacksonville, FL.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic leadership: identify key areas for improvement and create strategic plans to address inefficiencies and enhance performance; provide leadership and direction for operational excellence initiatives across the ecosystem.
- Process improvement and optimization: lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile; drive the standardization of processes through workflow mapping and visuals to help identify areas of improvement and prioritized efforts to achieve operational excellence; engage Controls & Process Assurance to review solution’s process and controls design prior to implementation.
- Project management: lead and manage operational excellence projects from initiation through to completion; monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Performance measurement and reporting: define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives; analyze performance data for a specified time period to evaluate the impact of process changes, ensure stabilization, and identify further opportunities for optimization; transition ownership to business for continuous monitoring.
- Change management: develop and implement change management strategies to support the successful adoption of new processes and improvements.
- Best practices and innovation: remain current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and drive competitive advantage while promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the ecosystem for both existing and new or acquired product lines.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt) are highly desirable.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading and delivering successful improvement initiatives and managing teams. Experience in Investment Management, Private Equity, or Financial Services.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
