Card Program Manager

Sydney, Australia

About Prezzee

Prezzee is a global leader in digital gifting and payments, having sold over 140 million gift cards through partnerships with more than 1,500 brands and serving over 6 million customers worldwide. Our mission is to change lives through the power of giving — leveraging borderless payment technology and innovative digital solutions to help people connect and create memorable moments that truly matter.

Prezzee is looking for a Card Program Manager who will own the operational lifecycle of Prezzee’s prepaid card programs across international payment networks. You’ll ensure the seamless day-to-day performance of our card portfolio, spanning Open Loop, Category and Closed Loop cards, as well as future card programs. You’ll also play a key role in onboarding new Closed Loop partners, ensuring programs are launched smoothly and operate effectively from day one.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the day-to-day operational performance and lifecycle of our Open Loop, Category and Closed Loop card programs.
  • Monitor card performance, authorisations and declines, proactively identifying and resolving issues, trends and configuration errors.
  • Act as the key operational contact for network partners, managing escalated disputes, authorisation issues and settlement discrepancies.
  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding and implementation of new Closed Loop partners, from post-contract handover through to launch.
  • Manage multiple partner implementations simultaneously, coordinating merchant configuration, testing, stakeholder communication and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure new card programs transition smoothly into business-as-usual operations, with clear processes and documentation in place.
  • Own operational reporting requirements across network partners, digital wallet providers and relevant regulators.
  • Manage network approvals for new digital card artwork and program assets, ensuring they meet required standards before launch.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and operational support to Customer Service, Product, Technology and other internal teams.
  • Participate in out-of-hours support as required to resolve urgent issues and ensure continuity of our global card operations.

What are we looking for

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in card operations, program management or a similar role within payments, fintech, prepaid or gift cards.
  • Strong practical understanding of the payments ecosystem, including card issuing, acquiring and card networks.
  • Experience working directly with major card networks is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of payment authorisation, clearing and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge of Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) and their application in card acceptance rules is highly desirable.
