Position Overview:
Prime Medicine is seeking a skilled legal intern to join our legal team and play a key role in supporting the company’s mission to develop next-generation gene editing therapies. This role will focus on contract review, legal research, and compliance, while gaining exposure to business law and general legal counsel. Responsibilities include drafting, analyzing risk, and supporting attorneys, offering hands-on experience in corporate, intellectual property, and employment law. This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective legal support that advances Prime Medicine’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, sales, and vendor contracts.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, and prepare corporate documents.
- Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with regulations and developing internal company policies.
- Organize legal files, assist with corporate record-keeping, and help with intellectual property matters.
- Participate in meetings with internal business units, outside counsel, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school (JD candidate).
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Basic understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, or compliance.

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
