PRINCO invests primarily through partnerships with the world’s top external investment managers across an array of geographies and strategies, including developed markets equities, emerging markets equities, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, natural resources, and fixed income. We collaborate closely with our partners, who range from some of the most elite and best-known investors in the world to up-and-coming emerging managers. We are often these firms’ first and/or closest partners, and we strive to deeply understand the people with whom we partner and the assets they own. We frequently co-invest or invest directly alongside them in both traditional funds and unconventional structures.

Our team consists of 19 investment professionals and a total staff, including operations, of 50. We employ a generalist model that provides team members with exposure to a wide range of asset classes, geographies, industries, and business models. Our team ranges from veterans with decades of investment experience to recent college graduates, and we heavily prioritize mentorship and an apprenticeship approach to professional development. PRINCO is a collaborative organization that values open debate and independent thinking. All investment team members serve on our internal investment committee, which is empowered to make decisions on behalf of the University.

Investment Analyst 

PRINCO is seeking to recruit an Investment Analyst for hire starting summer, 2027.

Reporting to senior members of the investment team, the Analyst will support the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and monitoring of investments across PRINCO's portfolio. As part of PRINCO's generalist investment model, the Analyst will gain exposure to a wide range of asset classes, geographies, industries, and investment strategies while developing the analytical and investment judgment skills necessary for a long-term career in investing.

The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced investors, participate in the investment decision-making process, and contribute to the management of one of the world's leading endowments.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will be involved in all aspects of the investment process and will have the opportunity to contribute to investment discussions spanning all asset classes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research prospective investment managers, industries, companies, and investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to manager sourcing efforts by identifying and evaluating prospective investment managers, participating in introductory calls and meetings, and summarizing key insights for the investment team.
  • Support due diligence by reviewing investment materials, analyzing performance and portfolio data, and preparing research summaries and meeting materials.
  • Assist with monitoring existing investments through performance tracking, portfolio reviews, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Prepare presentations, investment memoranda, and other materials to support investment discussions and decision-making.
  • Participate in meetings with investment managers, portfolio companies, and industry experts.
  • Analyze emerging investment themes, market developments, and new investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Reporting team to support portfolio analytics, performance analysis, risk monitoring, and other investment-related projects.
  • Contribute to investment discussions by asking thoughtful questions, sharing observations, and developing independent perspectives.
  • Build investment knowledge and professional relationships through ongoing learning, industry research, and engagement with the broader investment community.
  • Support special projects and other initiatives as needed.

Analysts initially join PRINCO for a two-year term with the possibility for extension.

The ideal candidate will be a rising senior, graduating by June 2027, and have:

  • intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
  • strong analytical and communication skills
  • an interest in financial markets and investing
  • the ability to collaborate effectively on a team

Disclosures

As of the date of this posting, the annualized salary for this position is $115,000. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
