Strategic Finance Manager

United States

Prismatic is the integration platform that helps B2B software companies build integrations fast and deliver them at scale. We're turning integrations from a bottleneck into a growth driver for hundreds of companies, from high-growth startups to Fortune 500s.

Our platform handles everything that breaks at scale, so teams can ship integrations, not infrastructure. It provides flexible, AI-enabled build experiences through code-native, low-code, and an embedded workflow builder, plus self-service configuration and an embedded marketplace.

Prismatic is well-funded with strong product-market fit and a high-agency, driven, collaborative culture.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to further evolve the way we drive decision-making at Prismatic. You’ll report to the CFO, serving as the lead point of contact whenever we need to make a critical decision grounded in trusted data and analysis. This role will bring the unique vantage point of understanding company-wide data at a deep level to help drive strategy both at the entire company and individual team levels.

This is a foundational hire who will have a wide latitude to build processes and capabilities from scratch. You’ll work cross-functionally across the entire company to identify the data that is critical to evaluating key functions/processes, ensure that data’s accuracy, and generate/disseminate insights from that data to drive decision-making. You will sit within Finance, but will be a critical partner to every team across the company with high-frequency collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable owning ambiguity, wants to be the go-to analytical and strategic resource for an entire company, and is eager to develop a deep knowledge of what drives success in every function at a scaling SaaS company.

What you will do:

  • Own cross-functional KPI reporting, ensuring every team has accurate and timely visibility into how they’re performing, as well as proactively communicating key signals as they become apparent
  • Lead ad hoc strategic planning efforts, partnering with leadership to evaluate new initiatives, market opportunities, and business tradeoffs.
  • Serve as the first responder for ad hoc analysis requests from stakeholders across the company, from the executive team to individual department leads
  • Own the entire breadth of FP&A functions for the company, including Board and investor reporting, long- and short-term financial planning, variance analysis, and other financial reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of the underlying data that reporting depends on, directly addressing or partnering with teams to fix quality issues at the source rather than patching them downstream.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve data models and reporting capabilities, leveraging AI to maintain ownership of more technical aspects of our data infrastructure.
  • Communicate findings clearly to non-financial audiences, translating data into recommendations that drive decisions.

About you:

  • 3-5 years of experience spanning investment banking, private equity, or a similar high-rigor analytical background, combined with experience in FP&A or strategic finance at an operating company (ideally a high-growth SaaS or software startup).
  • Strong understanding of core SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, LTV, magic number, burn multiple, rule of 40, etc.) and how they connect to the underlying business.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills — able to build models that are clean, well-structured, and hold up under scrutiny.
  • A proven track record in building processes/tooling from scratch, ideally utilizing AI to reliably accelerate development.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic thought partner to leadership by providing data with context and a viewpoint, not just reporting numbers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear takeaways for non-finance audiences.
  • Highly organized and responsive — capable of juggling multiple concurrent requests from different teams without dropping the ball on data quality or deadlines.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with dbt and Snowflake, or comparable modern data-stack tooling.
  • Experience at a company under ~100 employees, where you built reporting processes rather than inherited them.
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Familiarity with BI/dashboarding tools.
  • Familiarity with FP&A tools.

Pay range:

  • The pay range for this role is $155,000 - $185,000/yr USD + Equity

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
