Prism is seeking an experienced and intellectually curious Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. The Veterinary Technician works in tandem with our veterinarians and anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia and analgesia services, dental radiographs, cleanings, and dental charting to our patients. You'll work with the latest technology, practice modern medicine, and participate in the education of our clients.

What We Offer:

  • The pay range for this role is: $32-$36/hr. This pay range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed pay will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies
  • $5,000 Sign-on bonus based on experience

What We Require:

  • Licensure in New York State (LVT/RVT)
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
  • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning

What Makes This Role Unique:

This is a Launch position as we work towards opening our second location in Park Slope Brooklyn next year! You will spend your first few months training, building rapport, and establishing a team workflow in our flagship Flatiron location before moving to work fulltime from our brand new Park Slope office. This is a once-in-a-career chance to be a key part of a founding team and you’ll gain unique experience both operationally and clinically as we expand our state of the art care in a new borough.

In addition to traditional Veterinary Technician duties, you will participate in:

  • Daily Anesthesia monitoring during procedures
  • Advanced history taking
  • Advanced imaging
  • Conducting physical examinations and patient assessments
  • Rounding with the doctor on cases using learned dentistry knowledge
  • Providing consistently compassionate care for our hospitalized patients

Continuing Education:

We're serious about your growth and development. LVTs are eligible to receive unlimited CE reimbursement, including conferences, advanced skills labs, online subscriptions, and even textbooks. You’ll also get 3 fully paid CE days every year to take full advantage of those opportunities without burning your PTO. Want to attend a conference across the country?
