Commercial Country Manager, ANZ

With a solid and growing presence in the APAC region, Mintel is seeking an experienced and driven commercial leader to continue our business expansion in Australia and New Zealand. This Sydney-based role will oversee a team of Business Development, Account Management and Client Success professionals to build robust client partnerships and drive business growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, APAC, this role will be responsible for developing strategic client relationships across ANZ and ensuring our research and insights drive results for our clients. You will work closely with the Account Managers and Client Success to align client objectives with actionable insights and growth plans, positioning Mintel as an essential partner in their journey.

As a key growth leader for Mintel, you will oversee the expansion of our ANZ client base, working with Marketing and Business Development to identify new opportunities. The successful candidate will be a culture champion, building a motivated, high-performing team in ANZ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and Lead.  Define and implement Mintel's commercial strategy in ANZ to achieve top and bottom-line growth.
  • Drive Sales and Partnerships. Manage the new business pipeline to ensure consistent results.
  • Ensure Client Success. Oversee all aspects of relationship management, ensuring Account Managers and Client Success have effective engagement plans that align with client objectives and drive retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Negotiate and Represent. Serve as the primary representative for Mintel in ANZ, leading client negotiations and contract reviews as needed.
  • Collaborate. Collaborate with leaders across Insights, Consulting, Marketing, Finance and People (HR) to drive growth and foster relationships.
  • Brand Ambassador. Network to establish and deepen client relationships.
  • Cultivate Talent. Lead team development through coaching, training and recruitment, ensuring depth and expertise across all business areas.
  • Champion Culture. Foster a motivated and inclusive work environment that reflects Mintel's core values and enhances well-being.
  • Global Engagement: Collaborate with APAC, EMEA and AMERS commercial teams to drive overall growth across the business.
