Solutions Engineer - Federal

Privateer Space, Inc., leverages geospatial data and artificial intelligence to provide critical insights across a variety of sectors and applications.

In short, we help our customers know more, know better, and do better.

Privateer is a leader in Earth intelligence and AI, integrating data from sea to space and everything in between to sculpt information into answers. Its advanced, user-centric geospatial analytics platform Elements enables organizations to understand the present, anticipate the future, and make better decisions in the face of complex challenges. Co-founded by Apple pioneer Steve Wozniak, the company is committed to unlocking the valuable insights that will help problem-solvers address the world's toughest challenges and drive shared, sustainable use of our resources – on Earth and beyond.

Skills and Traits of Competitive Candidates

You will use your domain knowledge and experience to define customer mission sets, and apply both your creative and technical prowess to design solutions to meet these challenges with the sensor data, analytics, and flexibility of the Elements platform at your disposal.

You thrive on solving problems, and collaborating cross functionally. You enjoy traveling — close to home or far away— to visit customer sites to discover how Privateer can help contribute capabilities to some of our country’s most critical mission sets. Whether working remote or at a customer site, you may start your day in a customer meeting where you’ll articulate how a certain computer vision algorithm works to an audience of mixed technical aptitude, while highlighting the unique data fusion and tip-and-cue features of Elements. Afterwards you may write some Python code using the Elements APIs or Software Development Kit (SDK) to build a new prototype multi-sensor analysis for a new use case you’ve been exploring, and then finish up the day in an internal meeting with the product team advocating for a new feature request from a customer.
