Director, Team Operations & Family Services
About the Role
The Director, Team Operations & Family Services bridges the gap between Basketball Operations and our players' families. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the team, manage a budget, and work home games and during team travel trips. We need a proactive leader that is organized, discreet, and creative. The ability to work nontraditional hours is essential to meet the needs of the organization, its players, coaches, and staff. This position reports to the Vice President, Team Operations.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Team Operations
This position collaborate cross-functionally with GSW Team Kitchen, Team Security, Chase Center Security, Ticket Services, Investor Relations, and Equipment staff.
- Provide a range of complex administrative support to multiple senior-level executives, players, coaches, and staff; collaborate with all related administrative assistants
- Coordinate department procedures and work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency and success
- Travel with team as assigned to manage all family needs including transportation, ticketing, messaging and in-arena experience
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external communications, events, meetings, conferences and presentations
- Serve as the go-to person for all department needs, including catering requests, travel assistance, schedule maintenance and expense reports
- Perform department coordination duties that are often highly confidential
- Develop strong relationships with counterparts at opposing teams to ensure positive experiences on the road
- Create women’s and children’s line of clothing to be distributed to families every season
- Work closely with Williams Sonoma to ensure partner family room products are up to date, visible, and in use
- Hire part-time Assistant and develop this role for growth in BBOPS
- Other duties as assigned
Family Services
- Travel with team as assigned to manage all family needs including transportation, ticketing, messaging and in-arena experience
- Serve as main point of contact for families and guests to maintain and develop relationships with family members
- Develop onboarding system for new players' families including Chase Center orientation, key contact information, and initial arrival to market planning
- Maintain confidential records of all players, coach, and staff’s family information
- Create Family Services Programming throughout the season, including the management and execution of GSW Family Day
GSW Home Games
- Serve as main point of contact for all game day family needs (e.g., RSVP distribution, manage group list requests, assist with ticket purchases for players, coaches, and staff, etc.)
- Manages Kiddie Corp nanny service and GSW Valet service
- Stay up to date with all Chase Center spaces including visiting team campus, clubs and concourse
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years in an administrative or project management role
- Ability to work within GSW Basketball Operations and business guidelines
- Ability to ensure brevity of communications, accuracy of information flow, and efficiency in support of GSW’s high profile individuals
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of all work product and sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally and build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
- Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative and provide creative solutions independently
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
Time Commitment
- Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel, including internationally, as needed
Compensation
- $125,000 - 150,000 + Bonus
