Our Director of Corporate Development will be a key driver of growth and innovation across our real estate, mortgage, insurance, title, and home services ecosystem. Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships and corporate development opportunities that expand our platform, enhance customer experience, and strengthen our position as a leading integrated homeownership solutions company.
You will connect the dots across the housing and property technology landscape – building alliances with proptech innovators, lenders, insurers, and service providers – to create a seamless experience for consumers and scalable growth for PLACE.

You excel at driving strategic growth through high-impact partnerships, investments, and acquisitions across the entire real estate and homeownership ecosystem. You have a remarkable ability to spot market opportunities, build trusted relationships with industry leaders, and structure complex deals that expand platform value and generate meaningful revenue. Your deep expertise across real estate, mortgage, insurance, title, and proptech – paired with exceptional financial and analytical skills – allows you to navigate the industry with confidence and clarity. You thrive in fast-paced environments, influence executive stakeholders with ease, and consistently turn strategic insights into scalable, measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify, connecting potential acquisitions opportunities that accelerate growth and expand our market presence.
- Drive referral opportunities within the real estate industry (i.e. senior living, developers, relocation, etc.)
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, People, Product, and Operations teams to structure and integrate deals that deliver measurable business impact.
- Develop strategic frameworks for evaluating new verticals and partnerships across the real estate and homeownership lifecycle.
- Build and manage partnerships with key players in real estate, mortgage, insurance, title, and home services.
- Negotiate and structure agreements that drive revenue, innovation, and differentiation in the marketplace.
- Establish and track KPIs for partnership performance and ROI.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for top-tier partners, ensuring strategic alignment and long-term value creation.
- Represent the company externally with strategic partners, industry events, and potential investors.
Skills You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in corporate development, acquisitions, investment banking, management consulting, or partnership management – ideally within real estate, mortgage, fintech, proptech, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of the housing ecosystem, from lead generation through transaction and servicing.
- Proven success identifying, negotiating, and executing strategic partnerships and M&A deals.
- Exceptional analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills; able to influence at all levels of an organization.
