A little about the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst of Revenue and Pricing to align pricing strategies with business objectives that optimize profitability and market competitiveness. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Payments and SaaS pricing to enhance our pricing strategies and drive optimal financial performance. You’ll serve as the Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Project Leader, facilitating collaboration through cross functional teams.

What you’ll do

Pricing Strategy and Optimization

  • Monitor pricing models to align with market demands and company objectives
  • Develop and implement simple pricing models considering interchange rates, card association fees, and processing costs
  • Analyze card association downgrades and Interchange Reimbursement Fees (IRF) to identify root causes and optimize cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and fee structures, adjusting pricing strategies as necessary to maintain alignment with industry standards

Data Analysis and Modeling

  • Analyze and review results to established plan, providing feedback and recommendations to senior management to ensure revenue/margin goals are achieved
  • Perform comprehensive analysis of transaction data, customer behavior, and market trends to inform pricing decisions
  • Develop predictive models to forecast the impact of pricing changes on revenue and customer retention
  • Review partner residual statements for accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with sales, account management, product, and finance teams to implement pricing strategies and communicate changes effectively
  • Provide expert guidance on pricing-related matters to leadership and stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and recommend adjustments based on key performance indicators
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue optimization across our product portfolio

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years' of experience in strategic analytics, with a preference for Payments and SaaS pricing
  • Deep understanding of payment processing, including interchange rates, card association fees, and IRF structures
  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, or similar database tools
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in data analysis tools and statistical methods
  • Ability to independently explore and analyze data or problems with minimal guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and capability to manage complex pricing structures
  • Proven experience in building and presenting risk-reward and cost-benefit analyses
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from research and scope to business implementation
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey pricing strategies to various stakeholders

Salary

$95,000-$120,000/year DOE

Location

This position is based in our Denver, CO office. We are currently in a hybrid in-office/remote working model based on business needs.
