A little about the role…
This role requires a self-disciplined, passionate technical writer who is seeking a collaborative and agile work environment. This role requires a high level understand of content project creation, development and implementation.
What You’ll Do…
- Develop an extensive working knowledge of our products and Head Start Program Performance Standards
- For the software Help Center:
- Initiate, design and develop articles for the help system using MadCap Flare or comparable software
- Research and implement innovative customer engagement strategies
- Willingness to incorporate internal articles to support multiple departments
- Analyze and monitor customer use and adapt product as needed
- Create and design product content materials with MadCap Flare
- Revise, edit and update written and digital content
- Integrate and maintain extensive documentation standards across all content
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure concepts and functions are accurately documented
- Collaborate with team to guarantee timely delivery of product readiness
- Ability to understand technical possibilities and limitations of the tools at your disposal to troubleshoot and maintain timely implementation
- Independently driven to research products or tools as needed
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in technical writing, content creation, layout and design
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS and MadCap Flare
- Expertise with PowerPoint creation and implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to accurately edit and proof written documentation
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for developing and applying documentation standards to written and digital content
- Organizational skills, including time management and multi-tasking
- Capable of managing projects that differ in voice and content
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies
- Willingness to use project management tools
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Versatile team player who is willing to perform tasks outside the written job description
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
- Work effectively and efficiently in a hybrid or remote work environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Teams, Quickbase, Slack, Adobe and other software needed to perform assigned duties
- Solid understanding of database systems and structures
- Travel four or more times a year to perform essential duties for company sponsored conferences and team-related events
