A Little About the Role

As a Senior Data Platform Product Manager, you will drive the evolution of our data platform, enabling teams to build scalable, secure, and insightful data-driven solutions that transform our business and customer experiences.

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Data Platform Product Manager to lead the development of our next-generation data platform. This role requires a blend of product management expertise, technical acumen, and a customer-centric mindset to craft solutions that unlock the full potential of our data assets.

What You Will Do

Platform Strategy and Vision:

  • Define the roadmap and product vision for the data platform team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder needs
  • Communicate the vision and roadmap effectively to stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and end-users
  • Ability to balance immediate priorities with long term objectives 

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the platform strategy supports broader business objectives, such as revenue growth, market expansion, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand business needs, prioritize platform requirements accordingly 
  • Ability to leverage process flows and confluence to communicate platform requirements amongst technical and non-technical users 
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders and cross functional teams to ensure platform strategies are well-integrated across the organization 
  • Design/Develop in an iterative fashion including UAT with stakeholders to validate data solutions/visuals 

Product Development: 

  • Work closely with engineering teams to build, scale, and optimize platform capabilities, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives that deliver maximum value to the business based on business impact, technical feasibility, and resources 
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the platform’s performance and adoption 
  • Regularly update stakeholders on initiative progress, roadblocks, and adjustments to strategy 
  • Prioritize technical debt and platform health as part of the strategy 

Customer Enablement:

  • Drive user adoption by providing clear documentation, tools, and training for internal teams to leverage platform capabilities effectively
  • Gather feedback from users to iteratively improve the platform and address pain points

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 7+ years' of experience in product management, with at least 3 years' focused on data platforms, infrastructure, or related areas
  • Strong technical understanding of data ecosystems, including data pipelines, ETL processes, databases, and analytics tools
  • Proven track record of defining and executing product strategies in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and data technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business), Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A passion for empowering teams through robust, scalable data solutions
  • Experience with back office systems – Salesforce/NetSuite/Pendo – and Jira/AHA

Salary

$100,000-$125,000/year DOE
