A little about the role…
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
What You Will Do…
Participate in month end close process including, but not limited to account reconciliations, adjusting and reclassification journal entries, and flux analysis
Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of billing systems and schedules in multiple systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Zone Billing, and/or similar)
Review and solve complex billing issues ensuring accurate resolution in accordance with internal and external policies
Prepare journal entries for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support internal and external audits as needed
Field other ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders in support of the accounting and finance function
Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial reports
Contribute to process improvements
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have…
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
1-3 years' of experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS-based company or similar setting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on SaaS financials
Experience with cloud-based accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with SaaS financial reporting and metrics
Familiarity with month end close processes in a publicly traded company
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Understanding of SaaS revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting

$75,000 - $85,000/year DOE
Location
This position is based in our Denver, CO office. We are currently in a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working model based on business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our Denver, CO office a few days a week.
