A little about the role…
Procare is seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in the daily functions of the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position carries responsibilities in a wide range of HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented professional with a passion for HR and a desire to contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
What You Will Do…
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Assist in full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and extending offers of employment.
- Rewrite job descriptions as necessary and assist with compensation questions.
- Launch and review background checks.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and effective integration into the company.
- Respond to new hire questions prior to their first day.
- Complete employment eligibility and maintain documents.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the performance management process and system usage.
- Support managers and employees in goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development planning.
- Track and report on performance management activities and outcomes.
- Benefits & Compensation Administration:
- Assist employees with benefit related questions.
- Participate in benefits open enrollment processes.
- HR Policy & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to clearly communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality.
- Prepare and submit HR-related reports as required.
- Prepare reports such as EEO, and other annual compliance reporting.
- HRIS & Reporting:
- Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) to manage employee data, process HR transactions, and generate reports.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within HR systems.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Pull reports for other departments as needed.
- Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications, as needed.
- Training & Development:
- Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee training and development programs.
- Support the delivery of training sessions as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the HR department and the organization.
- Coordinate with employees and external counsel to handle immigration/visa applications.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have…
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Proven experience in multiple HR disciplines, such as recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Experience in a fast paced technology company is a plus.
- Experience supporting multi-site offices and supporting of a distributed workforce.

Salary
$70,000-$80,000/year DOE
Location
This position is based in our Atlanta, GA office. We are currently in a flexible hybrid working model based on business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our Atlanta, GA office office at least 3 days per week.
