Emerson DeltaV Automation Engineer 

Location: Eastern Pennsylvania

Job Description:

As an Emerson DeltaV Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting automation systems utilizing the Emerson DeltaV platform. You will play a crucial role in delivering efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet our clients' automation requirements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand automation requirements and develop innovative solutions using Emerson DeltaV.
  • Design and configure Emerson DeltaV control systems, including developing control strategies, configuring process graphics, and implementing control logic.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including functional specifications, configuration documents, and test plans.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Emerson DeltaV systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programmers, engineers, and technicians, to integrate Emerson DeltaV systems with existing infrastructure and control networks. 
  • Participate in commissioning and startup activities, including system validation, operator training, and performance optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Emerson DeltaV technology to drive continuous improvement in automation solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as an Emerson DeltaV Automation Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of the Emerson DeltaV platform, including configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing control strategies using Emerson DeltaV.
  • Familiarity with process automation concepts, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability for occasional travel to client sites within North America, if required.
