Account Manager - Emerson Impact Partner

As an Account Manager at Proconex, an Emerson Impact Partner, located in Royersford, PA, you will play a vital role in our sales team, focusing on industrial valves and equipment, including PLC, Valves, Regulators, Emerson software, and special projects.

The Emerson product line is incredibly diverse and you are able to market whichever products make sense to solve customer problems. Emerson Fisher valves and equipment are particularly renowned for their reliability, durability, and wide range of products suitable for various industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power, and water treatment.

Plus, our customers are mostly established, which means warm calls, solutions, and collaborative selling. Simply cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, identify opportunities for sales growth, and provide exceptional customer service. Your expertise in industrial equipment and advanced Emerson systems will enable you to effectively advise clients on product selection and solutions tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet them.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients to expand use of our Emerson products, including valves, regulators, computer software, and special projects.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their operations, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for industrial clients, including PLC, Valves, Regulators, Emerson software, and special projects.
  • Our customer base is mostly established, so for the account manager the objective is to grow current accounts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to have them create compelling proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure profitability while meeting customer requirements.

Product Expertise:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industrial valves and equipment, including Emerson's product offerings.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients, assisting them in selecting the right products for their applications.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biology, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • Proven experience in sales or account management in the industrial automation, process or manufacturing sector.
  • Interest in the hydrogen or nuclear energy markets, due to growth within those industries.
  • Exposure to industrial process equipment and advanced industrial computer systems, with knowledge of Emerson, Flowserve, Metso, Samson, and Schneider Electric products being highly advantageous.
  • Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, or Honeywell product experience could also be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the designated territory.
