About the Job

We’re looking for an experienced Tool Hook-Up Project Manager Fab (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies to manage and oversee the installation, connection, and initial setup of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a fabrication facility. 

In your day-to-day work, you will focus on ensuring efficient and effective tool hookup processes while also having the opportunity to contribute to various projects.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead the planning and execution of tool hookup projects in the wafer fab
  • Manage utility requirements, space allocation, and tool placement strategies
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure smooth integration of new tools into existing systems
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
  • Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols and safety standards
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance hookup efficiency and reduce costs

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor fab management or tool hookup roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
  • PMI certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Excellent project management skills, including risk management and stakeholder communication
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Native proficiency in German and good English skills (written and spoken) 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with 300mm wafer fabrication technology
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application in semiconductor fabs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Please note that we’re looking for support in the Aachen office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
