About the role:

We're looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer to join our go-to-market team at ProjectDiscovery. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we engage with customers, combining technical expertise with a strong customer focus. You'll be the go-to technical counterpart for our founding Account Executive, leading technical product demos, answering in-depth questions, and helping prospects understand how our platform can solve their security challenges.

In addition, you’ll also work closely with new customers to ensure smooth deployments, help existing users unlock more advanced capabilities, and serve as a trusted technical advisor. Along the way, you’ll act as a bridge between customers and our internal teams to bring insights back to marketing, product, and engineering to help refine and improve our messaging, documentation and product offerings.

This is a foundational role on our lean and fast-moving team, meaning you’ll wear multiple hats, build processes from scratch, and have a direct impact on our growth.

This is a remote position which preferences candidates aligned with US East time zone.

What you will do:

  • Lead engaging, customized technical demos tailored to each prospect’s needs which align to positive business outcomes.
  • Answer technical questions, challenge the prospects current way of solving their problem(s) and explore potential solutions to real-world security challenges.
  • Effectively manage the Proof Concept process through influence and creation of clear business requirements aligned to positive business outcomes resulting in a technical win
  • Be the technical expert on ProjectDiscovery’s platform, guiding prospects on how our tools fit into their security workflows.
  • Ensure smooth post-sales deployments, product adoption and provide technical support for recently closed accounts.
  • Partner with customer success to expand use cases, answer technical questions, and improve retention.
  • Work with marketing to refine messaging, create technical content, and build educational collateral.
  • Be the voice of the customer, relaying insights to product, engineering, and marketing to drive improvements.

Who You Are:

  • A curious, self-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
  • Someone who operates with urgency and enjoys tackling business problems with a technical mindset.
  • A technical security expert with deep knowledge of vulnerability management and application security.
  • Customer-obsessed. You enjoy working directly with users, solving problems, and helping them succeed.
  • Comfortable in early-stage startup environments, where you help create structure and process as you go.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales engineering, consulting, or technical role.

Bonus if you:

  • Have experience as a security engineer, pentester, or ethical hacker with a focus on application security, vulnerability management, or red teaming.
  • Have used ProjectDiscovery’s open-source tools (Nuclei, httpx, subfinder, etc.).
  • Have worked in a startup with less than 50 people in a solutions engineer role

ProjectDiscovery compensation and benefits

💰 On-target earnings: $160,000 - $220,000 (70/30 base-variable split) for U.S. employees, DOE. Compensation outside the U.S. will be adjusted based on local market data. Additional benefits include:

Note: Band level and salary ranges are determined through interviews, a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Non-U.S. located employees compensation will be based on Geo and the above parameters.
