Field Operations Manager - Saudi Arabia

What you’ll do
The Field Operations Manager is responsible for leading the on-site deployment of Pronto’s autonomous haulage system at a mining operation in Saudi Arabia. This role serves as the bridge between Pronto’s technology teams and the customer’s mine operations, ensuring successful implementation and integration into daily production activities.
Project Delivery & Leadership
- Deliver deployment activities according to agreed performance metrics
- Ensure successful integration of autonomous systems into production workflows
- Monitor project progress and escalate technical or operational risks
- Manage on-site field engineers and technicians
- Oversee scheduling, safety compliance, and overall team performance
- Coordinate site logistics and operational readiness
Strategic Liaison
- Act as the central communication hub between the customer site and Pronto HQ, providing regular progress reports and escalating technical or operational blockers.
- Ensure customer commitments for infrastructure, equipment, and resources are met
Operational Integration
- Work with customers to set up or modify existing operational processes to accommodate autonomous haulage.
- Lead the customer training programs on Pronto technology and manage the formal handover of the system to the mine’s operations team.
What we’re looking for
- 15+ years of direct mining experience with deep understanding of mine site operations and production cycles.
- 5–10 years in leadership roles (e.g., Site Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Maintenance Manager).
- Proven track record of actively participating in technology rollouts, such as autonomy, remote operations, telematics, or machine control systems.
- Deep understanding of how to transition a mine from manual to technology-assisted or autonomous operations.
- A degree in Mining Engineering is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working full-time on-site in mining environments.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive-level stakeholders at both the customer and Pronto.
