Support Engineer Manager

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of Support Engineers who keep autonomous haul trucks running in production, 24/7.
• Own your team, including being its escalation point during production issues.
• Onboard new engineers and get them ready to support production.
• Know your team's technical work in depth and hold the team accountable for quality and response times.
• Step in hands-on to cover team members when needed.
• Grow engineers on your team toward Level 2.
• Partner with Robotics, Hardware, and Operations teams to resolve issues.
• Improve support processes and tooling so the team can support a growing fleet.

What we’re looking for

• Engineering background (robotics, software, or embedded systems), now focused on management.
• Experience leading engineering teams and a fluency in English to enable cross functional team collaboration.
• Strong people management skills.
• Advanced Linux and Bash, plus hands-on debugging of embedded systems over SSH and the command line.
• ROS, and Python or C/C++.
• Plus: experience in support or managing support teams.
• Plus: experience with 24/7 or shift-based operations.

This role is based in our Belo Horizonte office location. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
