The Accounting Specialist will support and promote sound accounting operations and best practices throughout the company by routinely collaborating with our client companies, accounts payable and property accounting professionals to monitor daily cash flow and liquidity levels of all property and corporate bank accounts and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of recording all cash account transactions.

$65K - $70K DOE

• Ensure treasury management best practices, in cooperation with our banking partners, with a focus on technological process improvement and safeguarding trust account funds.
• Facilitate wire, ACH and other electronic payments for property accountants, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Confirm successful transmission and ensure timely recordation via AP or GL entry.
• Additional treasury tasks include oversight of ACH and check positive pay, bank statement downloads, and ensuring proper balances for payroll funding.
• Verify new client bank account instructions following appropriate multi-factor authentication policies, pulling in regional property managers for confirmation as needed.
• Set up new bank accounts in property management software(s) and request new merchant accounts for electronic receipt of rents and other deposits.
• Enable bank accounts for use in 3^rd party payment provider software.
• Work with accounting and other team members in researching, reconciling and resolving banking situations as they arise. Look to prevent same for future.
• Proactively educate and prevent banking fraud with all applicable team members.
• Attend weekly on and offboarding meetings for managed properties to understand the needs and requirements of newest clients
• Assist lenders, auditors, clients and others with various requests for ad hoc financial and administrative reports for external audit or tax preparation.
• Communicate with client-company team members as well as PSG team members, key business stakeholders, and others to answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
• Complete other duties and support of accounting staff as assigned

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business from an accredited College or University and at least 3 years of prior supervisory experience are required, and prior property management experience is preferred.  
• Must be computer literate including an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office products.  
• Knowledge of Entrata, RealPage, or other property management accounting software preferred. 
• This position requires a HIGH attention to detail.
