About The Role

Customer and market insights are a critical differentiator for Prophet, enhancing the value we deliver across industries. As the world of data and decision-making evolves, our team is at the forefront of integrating AI, advanced analytics, and modern research techniques to unlock sharper, more actionable outcomes for our clients.

We are seeking a Partner to lead the continued innovation, delivery, and integration of our I&A capabilities across Prophet. This leader will balance client relationship development, delivering high-impact client work, scaling cutting-edge methodologies, and growing a thriving team, while working in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Your Day to Day

Client Service & Impact

  • Build and deepen executive-level client relationships by selling and delivering exceptional insights based work that fuels strategic decisions and through effective collaboration to deliver high impact, multidisciplinary work across all of Prophet’s offerings.
  • Lead client engagements spanning (but not limited to) segmentation, growth landscapes, discrete choice modeling (DCMs), brand measurement, customer journey mapping, and experience evaluations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and Prophet colleagues, ensuring insights are clearly communicated, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Play a key role in business development, shaping proposals and pitches through thought leadership and subject matter expertise.

Methodology & Innovation

  • Lead the design, selection, and defense of research and analytics methodologies, articulating the “why” behind each approach to both strategists and clients.
  • Drive the integration of AI, automation, and emerging data science techniques to expand Prophet’s insights toolkit.
  • Oversee the work of technical specialists in analytics and data science, ensuring quality control of advanced outputs without requiring direct coding or model deployment.
  • Leverage I&A specialists in Deep Listening (qualitative) and Strategic Insights (primary research) verticals within the practice.
  • Drive the creation of new intellectual property (frameworks, tools, approaches) that strengthens Prophet’s differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with best-in-class vendors and partners to extend Prophet’s capabilities.

Firm & Commercial Leadership

  • Partner-level responsibilities include firm-wide contributions beyond the I&A function, supporting Prophet’s broader strategy, culture, and growth agenda.
  • Deliver against commercial targets, including sales, utilization, and profitability goals.
  • Contribute to global oversight of Prophet’s I&A work, ensuring consistent standards across geographies.
  • Travel as needed to engage clients, build teams, and represent Prophet globally.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • As a member of the I&A Leadership Team, lead and inspire a high-performing team of insights and analytics experts, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Ensure the right mix of talent, skills, and experience within the team, identifying and addressing capability needs.
  • Model Prophet’s culture—performance-driven, collaborative, entrepreneurial—while fostering a sense of belonging and shared success.
  • Seamlessly integrate with Prophet’s broader consulting teams, ensuring insights work is embedded in and elevates our strategic impact.

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in Insights & Analytics, preferably a mx within consulting or a professional services environment and client-side experience.
  • Deep expertise in research design, data analytics, and vendor management, with the ability to tailor approaches across industries such as consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, entertainment, automotive, fashion, or retail.
  • Demonstrated ability to defend methodological choices and communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and delivering high-impact, scalable client solutions.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives.
  • History of building, managing, and developing world-class teams.

Location: Chicago, IL or New York, NY  (Hybrid - 3+ days per week in office/at client)

Salary Range: $300,000 - $400,000
