Director of Marketing

 

Job Summary: 
The Director of Marketing will play a critical role in shaping the company’s initial go-to-market (GTM) strategy and driving customer acquisition efforts. This position is responsible for developing and executing branding and marketing strategies tailored to our target audience, overseeing the development of a user-focused digital platform, and providing sales teams with impactful marketing materials to drive revenue. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional marketing initiatives, working with consulting agencies, and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Marketing Strategy Development   

  • Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s GTM objectives.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed

2. Website Development and Digital Experience 

  • Oversee the development of the company’s website, ensuring it serves as a powerful tool for customer engagement and lead generation.
  • Lead UX research efforts to ensure the platform is intuitive and tailored to the specific needs of our target audience.
  • Collaborate with design, content, and development teams to deliver a best-in-class digital experience. 

3. Customer and Market Insights 

  • Conduct market research and customer segmentation to define target audiences and refine messaging.
  • Develop buyer personas and identify customer pain points to inform marketing campaigns and product positioning. 

4. Campaign Management 

  • Develop and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, digital ads, social media, and events, to drive awareness and revenue growth.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide regular reporting to stakeholders. 

5. Agency and Vendor Management 

  • Identify and manage relationships with consulting agencies and vendors as needed to support marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company goals. 

6. Sales Enablement 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop impactful marketing materials, such as brochures, sales decks, and product tear sheets.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on the effective use of marketing tools and resources. 

7. Brand Development and Messaging 

  • Establish and maintain a consistent brand voice across all customer touchpoints.
  • Develop messaging frameworks and positioning statements that differentiate the company within the industry. 

Requirements:  

Education: 
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 

Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B, digital marketing, or e-commerce. 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience managing website development projects and conducting UX research.
  • Experience building a community and brand affinity for a well-known brand.
  • Video and photography production experience in planning, executing and overseeing.
  • Prior experience working in construction materials, building products, or supply chain industries is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing branding and strategic partnership focused events strongly preferred.  

Skills: 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong technical copywriter and proofreader with an eye for crafting powerful messages and stories.
  • Keen eye for design and details.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
