Senior Development Project Manager
Prospect14 focuses on the scaled origination and development of renewable energy and energy storage projects in multiple markets in the United States. Since its inception, Prospect14 has originated approximately 5GWdc of solar and solar + storage projects.
Prospect14 is developing utility-scale and community solar energy projects across North America. We enable landowners, power purchasers, and later-stage project developers to participate in the rapid growth of the solar energy market.
Position Overview – Senior Development Project Manager
Prospect14 is seeking an experienced Senior Project Development Manager to lead the advancement of utility-scale solar, community solar, and battery energy storage projects from origination through development milestones towards NTP. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, a deep understanding of renewable energy development, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across diverse markets.
This role will be responsible for coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing project diligence activities, supporting permitting and interconnection efforts, and driving projects toward key development milestones and successful commercialization.
This is a remote opportunity, with preference towards candidates residing in the Mid-Atlantic region, able to travel easily to Company Headquarters 1-2 time per month in Ardmore, PA.
Key Responsibilities
Project Development
- Lead development activities for utility-scale solar, community solar, and battery energy storage projects.
- Manage projects from early-stage origination through notice-to-proceed (NTP), sale, or handoff to construction.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and development plans.
- Coordinate site diligence efforts including environmental, cultural, geotechnical, title, survey, and engineering studies.
- Identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks throughout the development lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary project representative with landowners, consultants, permitting agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders.
- Support community engagement efforts and public outreach activities.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with local officials, regulatory agencies, and utility representatives.
Permitting & Entitlements
- Lead permitting and entitlement activities at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Coordinate permit applications and consultant deliverables.
- Monitor regulatory and market developments impacting project viability.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with Origination, Real Estate, Interconnection, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Support project acquisitions and divestitures through diligence and transaction support.
- Prepare development updates, presentations, and reporting materials for leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, or related field.
- 3+ years of renewable energy development experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing utility-scale or DG solar, community solar, and/or battery storage projects.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience working with permitting agencies, utilities, consultants, and landowners.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience across multiple U.S. power markets.
- Familiarity with interconnection processes and transmission development.
- Knowledge of permitting and land-use regulations.
- Experience supporting project acquisitions, sales, or financing transactions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset taking ownership for entire project development lifecycle

Travel
Moderate travel (approximately 20–30%) required for site visits, stakeholder meetings, and project development activities.
