Neurodivergent Affirming Clinical Psychologist - North Carolina
Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults. Despite rapid growth in known autism prevalence (up >5x in the last 25 years), autistic adults have been ignored by traditional services and support, leading to extremely poor outcomes across mental and physical health.
Prosper is addressing this gap by providing specialized, virtual mental health services for autistic adults, covered by insurance. Our innovative autism assessment diagnoses many of our clients for the first time in their lives. We pair that with individualized therapy that is tailored to the needs of autistic adults and community to help our clients find belonging and connection.
In just 18 months since founding, we have grown to double digit millions of run-rate revenue, thousands of active clients, and over 100 clinicians on our team. We are backed by leading investors and healthcare operators.
Our ambition is bold: to reach and transform the lives of millions of autistic and neurodivergent adults.
The role:
- Prosper Health is hiring outstanding psychologists (e.g., PhDs, PsyDs) for a remote, part-time position.
- In this role, you will provide autism assessments via telehealth to adults. As we innovate by making adult autism assessments affordable and accessible, you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing best-practices and new approaches to assessing for autism in adults.
- Prosper Health handles the insurance billing, provides supervision and guidance, and finds clients — all you have to do is focus on supporting your clients.
- We are looking for neurodiversity affirming candidates who care deeply about helping autistic adults and are excited about joining a fast-growing startup that is on a mission to change the way autistic adults can achieve and flourish in our society.
Our approach to care: Our care is built on three fundamental pillars:
- Neurodiversity affirming: We celebrate the differences in the way people think, and we take a strength-based approach to help our clients achieve their goals.
- Respecting Autonomy: We support adults and part of that is recognizing our clients as in charge of their own life. We emphasize autonomy and consent in everything we do.
- Personalized: We build our services around our clients as individuals, recognizing that not everyone will want or require the same kind of support. It's our clients’ life - we're here to help with what they think matters.
