Revenue Cycle Management Associate
Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults. Despite rapid growth in known autism prevalence (up >5x in the last 25 years), autistic adults have been ignored by traditional services and support, leading to extremely poor outcomes across mental and physical health.
Prosper is addressing this gap by providing specialized, virtual mental health services for autistic adults, covered by insurance. Our innovative autism assessment diagnoses many of our clients for the first time in their lives. We pair that with individualized therapy that is tailored to the needs of autistic adults and community to help our clients find belonging and connection.
In just 18 months since founding, we have grown to double digit millions of run-rate revenue, thousands of active clients, and over 100 clinicians on our team, while raising funding from top investors.
Our ambition is bold: to reach and transform the lives of millions of autistic and neurodivergent adults.
The Role
As we scale, we are looking to add a dynamic and driven Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Associate to our team. This is a hands-on, crucial role where you will be responsible for working closely with the head of RCM as just the second employee on the RCM team. Your responsibilities cover end-to-end revenue cycle.
You Will:
- Work closely with our third-party vendor to investigate and resolve eligibility discrepancies
- Follow up on unpaid claims, working directly with payers to resolve outstanding balances.
- Proactively manage denied claims by researching the reasons for denial, disputing claims with payers, and ensuring timely re-submission.
- Identify gaps in the accounts receivable process and trends in denials, suggesting process improvements to optimize collections moving forward.
- Act as a point of contact for the Client Experience (CX) team to address billing questions.
- Process and triage billing-related communications from our payer partners.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and has a relentless drive to get things done. You are a go-getter who is not afraid to dig deep, ask questions, and challenge the status quo when necessary.
-
Self-Starter & Problem Solver:
You take initiative and own issues from start to finish, proactively finding solutions and minimizing delays in revenue realization. You have a “get it done” attitude and are comfortable working without rigid SOPs in place.
-
Confident Communicator:
You are comfortable getting on the phone with payers to resolve issues, challenge inaccuracies, and fact-check in real-time. You know how to navigate difficult conversations and advocate for the organization to ensure we’re not missing out on owed revenue.
-
Adaptable & Resilient:
You are able to handle ambiguity and stay focused under pressure. In a fast-moving startup, you can pivot when needed and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or a related field
- Familiarity with Behavioral Health / Mental Health billing is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred
- Experience working with and managing third-party vendors for eligibility and claims processing is a bonus
