MAIN PURPOSE

The Learning Technologist ensures the seamless operation of the Ways of Working (WoW) digital learning environment, supports Facilitation Teams in delivering technology-enhanced learning, and develops interactive e-learning modules, digital tools, and resources.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design knowledge, and problem-solving skills to enhance the learner experience and support educational excellence.

 

MISSION

The WoW Learning Technologist is critical to ensuring the integrity of all WoW Learning Center trainings and integral to the creation, design and delivery of learning events and materials.  The WoW Learning Technologist plays an active role in maintaining and enhancing the digital learning environment by ensuring the seamless operation of LMS platforms, developing interactive e-learning modules, and supporting Facilitation Teams with technology-enabled learning.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

E-Learning Development:

  • Design and develop engaging e-learning modules using selected authoring tools.
  • Create SCORM-compliant interactive content using Articulate 360 and similar authoring tools.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability of digital learning materials.

 

Digital Tools and Resource Creation:

  • Develop multimedia assets such as graphics, animations, videos, and simulations.
  • Utilize a variety of software to enhance the learning experience, including video editing tools, graphic design software, and interactive whiteboard applications.

 

Learning Management System (LMS) Support:

  • Ensure course materials and digital resources function properly on OneDrive, Tembo and Teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to course access and content delivery.
  • Manages user access, permissions, and course configurations.

 

Technical Support for Facilitation Teams:

  • Assist Facilitation Teams in setting up and using technology for live and asynchronous courses.
  • Provide just-in-time support for virtual classrooms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Tembo) and troubleshoot common issues.
  • Train facilitators on using LMS features and digital learning tools effectively.

 

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with WoW Learning Center Team Members and WoW Facilitators and Technical Producers to enhance course delivery.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in educational technology and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate and improve the user experience based on learner and facilitator feedback, at the direction of the Instructional Designer.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience working in digital learning environments, supporting LMS platforms, and developing e-learning content                  

Experience

Essential: 

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise & Storyline 360, ensuring SCORM compliance and interactive content development.
  • Experience creating and editing multimedia assets (graphics, video, animation) using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, or Genially

Desirable: 

  • Experience with SCORM files and LMS systems (Moodle, Totara, Articulate 360).
  • Certifications in LMS administration, e-learning development (e.g., Articulate 360, SCORM compliance), or multimedia content creation

 

Languages

Essential

  • English B2+

 

Desirable 

  • Spanish B1+
  • French B1+

Knowledge and abilities

Essential 

  • Experience creating and editing multimedia assets (graphics, video, animation) using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, or Genially

 

Desirable

  • Proficiency with common web programming languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap). Mastering the programming code that drives the Tembo LMS platform will be required of the successful candidate.

POSITION CONDITIONS

Base salary: 38,624.00 MXN monthly gross. 

Individual experience bonus: 2% base salary increase per year (as internal experience recognition).

Benefits by local legislation: 25% vacation bonus, social security, public holidays.

Benefits additional to legislation: 25 vacation days per year, up to 5 paid leaves per year, additional holidays (different from public holidays), 30 days Christmas Bonus.

Additional benefits: limited minor medical expenses (by reimbursement) and others as per MSF CAMINO policies.
